Balatro web duels
Duels are a separate match mode with setup, readiness, and result handling. They are not the same as continuing a normal solo save.
Duel pages
What duels are
Duels are a separate match flow where two players queue, get ready, launch the client, and let the server handle match state. They are not normal solo sessions, and private setup problems should not be treated like played wins or losses.
The public duel pages explain expectations before players sign in, while the actual duel controls stay inside the app.
Before playing a duel
Both players should keep the tab open through setup and loading. If one player is still downloading client files, the other player may wait before the match can start. Reports should say whether the problem happened in queue, loading, countdown, or active play.
Result clarity
Duel result screens should explain why a match ended. A normal played loss, a failed launch, an opponent leaving before play, and a server update are different outcomes. If the message does not match what happened, report the match code or player names.
Where the controls live
The public page is only an explanation. Queueing, private codes, ready states, and live match controls stay inside the app after sign in.
